A graduate of Shaw University, Bishop Fulton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice (Magna Cum Laude) before going on to receive his Master of Divinity from Shaw Divinity School. Bread of Life Food Bank Pantry: From Seed to Harvest

In 2011, Bishop Fulton launched what would become one of the region’s most impactful food justice initiatives. It began with a simple but powerful act of faith — distributing $25 Walmart gift cards to families in need. As the need grew, so did the vision. Today, the Bread of Life Food Bank Pantry stands as a cornerstone of hope and dignity across Forsyth and surrounding counties.

As former President of the Ministers’ Conference of Winston-Salem & Vicinity (2015–2016), Bishop Fulton led transformative initiatives that addressed systemic barriers and expanded opportunities for thousands of residents. His impact reaches across legal, health, and civic institutions:

• Driver’s License Restoration: Partnered with the District Attorney’s Office to restore driving privileges for nearly 2,000 individuals, eliminating over $300,000 in fines and restoring economic mobility to families.

• MLK Jr. Scholarship Fund: Raised $10,000 to enable scholarships for deserving local students, investing in the next generation of community leaders.

• WSSU Gap Fund: Contributed $5,000 to Winston-Salem State University’s Gap Fund, helping students at risk of dropping out remain enrolled and on the path to graduation.

• Community Garden: Launched the Winston Lake YMCA Community Garden in partnership with NC Cooperative Extension, expanding access to fresh, nutritious food.

• International Outreach: Supported clean water initiatives in Liberia, extending the reach of community ministry beyond national borders.
